Folk art with a distinctive cute, cheery and happy style is Angela's forte.Her hand-painted and hand-stenciled wooden decorative pieces warm the homes where they are displayed. Designs featuring seasonal icons brighten up the holidays. And now Angela is taking her unique folk art style to canvas.Inspired by her surroundings - gardens, homes, magazines, and kids' faces -Angela captures the latest trends in folk art. Hand-lettered brief messages or wishes on some designs add a personal touch.
While she liked to draw as a youngster and acquired two years of commercial art schooling, Angela's creative career really took off when a friend asked her to create some wooden decorative pieces for a baby's nursery. That was nearly 20 years ago and the beginning of Country Folk Wurk. Angela and her family make their home in Rochester, Indiana.
She is delighted to have her family very much involved with her business.She looks forward to continually expanding her creative horizons.
